LinkedIn ID is Must
Since last 2 weeks, at-least I have seen 3 out 5 of recruitment emails asking for LinkedIn ID Must in their message. Yes, this was been asked in 2014, 2017 etc. But recently this has been trending in almost every good recruitment post. If you are in work field, than for sure get your content creation to LinkedIn. This for sure is going to impact huge in recruitment and networking in future. If you are already on the LinkedIn, then stop ghosting the profile. Keep your profile up to date.
Here is my quick notes on a podcast i refer you this week to go over. Do click on the link for Podcast on Reinventing yourself with Dorie Clark.

Frugal Lens Vs Value Lens
From my last post on Budgeting, in conversation with one of the reader I decided to talk about how we view Money spending with different lens. Having frugal lens ON for spending is fine, but when you add Value Lens ON it will be altogether different. Even on budget or not, if one restricts themselves to spend less on every purchase irrespective of checking value, quality or overthink on every purchase , than restriction and overthinking whether within my budget or not spending more is going to add stress.
As an example from my life, I don’t mind spending 400$ as well on headset or buying National park or State Park annual passes every year. Hiking or on laptop/phone listening to Audio Books/ Podcasts/ E-Learning gives me joy, so I look at these things with Value Lens ON. I have my frugal Lens ON on the things which doesn’t mean much to me like dining out at restaurants. The stress of overthinking on spending is not good. First one need to have mindset right with their goals and their needs of must and nice to have’s. Just see people faces when they talk about certain things they love, they just get light up. So in the Must have’s list which we discussed in the post look at them with Value lens ON and show No mercy on the things in your budget list which doesn’t mean much to you. When we see with Value Lens ON, then we won’t stress ourselves over spending. Budgeting, savings etc. are just tools for us to handle money easier, so we can focus on other things in life, it’s not spending less on every purchase we make. Note the more joyful a person would be, the better he would be in every activity he does compared to other. So there is no winning over spending less or more, spend which means something or adds value to your life and take your focus on other important things in life.
Every one of us overthink, few have skills to overcome them quickly and few just spin around circles. I have known people in my life who overthink a lot on everything, decision fatigue people who cannot choose between multiple options. Like everyone even I do over think occasionally. As an example, when my son was around 6 month old I was overthinking about raising child abroad. I thought about it a lot over a weekend, read some blogs etc. but instead of spinning around on my own, I called my friend who is a parent and asked his view. Reaching out to someone else helps in such cases and its same decision mentioned in this book. Overthinking is not my subject for sure, but as I have seen people around me a lot with this, made me to read this book. Book subtitle says summary well, Make Easier Decisions, Stop Second-Guessing, and Bring More Joy to Your Life. Sharing few notes,
